The New Mexico History Museum features exhibitions and public programs that teach about historical events and New Mexico’s historical experiences. With large collections relating to the heritage of New Mexico and the Southwest, it serves as a history center for research, lifelong learning, and education. This is the place to come if you are looking to understand and appreciate New Mexico’s diverse cultures. You will find exciting lectures, hands-on workshops and performances, photos, maps, artifacts and more to learn about New Mexico’s story.
The museum is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM May through October, and Tuesday – Sunday in November – April. Entree is free for NM residents 5 to 7 PM on Fridays May through October!
