Aztec Ruins National Monument guards an incredible collection of archaeological sites along the Animas River in northwest New Mexico. These ancient buildings from the early Pueblo people share their history so that we and future generations can learn about and value this complex culture. The reason these structures stand preserved and protected is to tell the story of those who came before us.
Some of the things you can do at Aztec Ruins National Monument are visiting the Visitors Center, go on an Aztec West self-guided trail, and kids can become a Junior Ranger and pledge to protect every national park! The entire family will enjoy this amazing place!
